Northern Virginia Real Estate: How the 2020 Real Estate Market Differs from 2008

Has the Real Estate Market changed since 2008?

I want to share with you the differences between the Real Estate Market of 2008 versus today especially with the Pandemic happening.

A lot of people have been asking and are confused with what’s going to happen next in 2020 with regards to the Real Estate Market. To be honest, nobody knows.

What are the comparable scenarios?

In 2008, the interest rates were a little higher and since the home builders may have overbuilt, the inventory was a lot.

In 2020, we have huge unemployment.

How are the challenges going to impact us today? We don’t know. The pandemic has been unpredictable and is uncontrollable but what we can focus on is WHAT WE KNOW and WHAT WE CAN CONTROL.

As Albert Einstein once said, “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” and as H. Jackson Brown Jr. says “Nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity.”

THE ADVANTAGES WE HAVE IN THE 2020 REAL ESTATE MARKET

If you are a buyer and you would want to take advantage of the low-interest rate or if you are a seller and you want to grab that opportunity of the limited inventory.
