Oakton High School, home of the Cougars, is ranked fifth.

Oakton High School is known for its large size and diverse student population, with a graduation rate of 96% and 80% of their students prepared for college.

Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia is ranked fourth.

The Statesman team is well-known for its high graduation rate and its mascot, the Griffin, a half-lion, half-eagle hybrid.

Marshall High School is ranked 209th in the nation.

McLean High School, home of the Highlanders, is ranked third.

McLean High School is well-known for its academic achievements, student publications, and award-winning band program, with a 97% graduation rate.

The Saxons are based at Langley High School in McLean, Virginia.

Langley High School, ranked 154 in the country, has a 99% graduation rate and an A for sports, academics, and teachers.

Their clubs and activities are rated B+, and their safety and health are rated B+.

Finally, Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology is the top school in Fairfax County.

This state charter magnet school is the best in the country, and admission requires a STEM-based curriculum.

Seniors can participate in technical lab projects at Thomas Jefferson High School, as well as a variety of courses such as DNA science, Advanced Marine Biology, Automation and Robotics, Architecture Drawing and Design, and others.

Overall, the Fairfax County Public Schools are ranked 236 out of 10,776 as the best district for athletes' strength, 464 for the most adversity, and 707 for the best districts in the country.
